Blasting away the cob webs – and feeling GREAT!

For 4 months now I’ve been training with longer and longer distances, trying to master conservation, limiting of probablility of injuries and avoiding the inevitable tedium. Some would say this is great mental training for the 100km race which is going to stretch my capabilties in all of these areas.

Sometimes when things just seem to go really well, howoever, you just need to break out and let your heart and lungs run a full capacity… and that’s what happened today. I just felt good enough to burn up the route much faster than I had anticipated, and it felt good. Great, actually. no problems, no stress and big smiles.

Once the 100km race is finished, maybe I might try one of these flat out for a change :).
